The Leadership Practice

Leadership team coaching for teams ready to lead as one.

We help a group of capable individuals become one team, more than the sum of its functions.

For senior teams at moments of transition, growth or change, when the way the team has always worked will not be enough for what comes next.

Everyone is capable. Nobody is pulling together.

Who we help

Built for leadership teams at a turning point.

Leadership teams at moments of transition, growth or change, or who recognise that the way the team has always operated will not be enough for what comes next.

New and newly reshaped teams are our strongest fit.

What is changing for your team right now?

Start as you mean to go on.Strongest fit

This is the clearest route in. You can shape how the team works together now, before old habits set and before the first hard decision tests it.

What you might be experiencing

Strong individuals. Not yet one team.

Most top teams are full of capable people. What holds them back is how they work together.

Tap any that sound like your top team

None of this is about capability. It is about how the team leads together.

Score your team properly

The questions we help you answer

Two questions only your team can answer.

Everything we do with a leadership team comes back to these. Turn each one over.

The first names the work. The second makes it possible.

How we work

A guided journey, not a fixed programme.

We start by understanding, not imposing, and adapt as the team and the organisation reveal the real work. Five stages, shaped around your team.

Understand

We listen before we lead.

The context, the team, and what the organisation now needs from its leadership. We start by understanding where you are, rather than arriving with an answer.

What you will notice

A shared, honest picture of where the team is now, and what the organisation needs it to become.

Or tap any stage.

We coach the team and the individuals in it.

Both develop together. A team cannot lead as one while its members grow in isolation, and individuals cannot change much inside a team that stays the same.

What changes

Strong collective leadership turns strategic ambition into organisational reality.

Not a collection of leaders. One team.

We are not developing a collection of leaders. We are building your capacity to lead as one, so the strategy shows up in what people actually do.

How it often looks today.

  • AccountabilityHeld function by function.Held jointly, for shared outcomes.
  • ChallengePolite in the room. Honest in the car park.Honest in the room, where it can help.
  • StrategyLives on the slide.Shows up in what people actually do.

Who you will work with

A team that has done the job.

Get Knowledge is led by its co-founders, Lee and Jason, and backed by a team of experienced associates. Lee and Jason both come from operations, and ran and improved large, complex organisations long before they coached anyone, so we know what a top team’s decisions look like by the time they reach the front line. Lee was named National Coach of the Year 2025.

It has brought us closer as a group and created a space for open, honest feedback on how we're perceived, how we manage, and how we communicate.

A straight conversation about your leadership team, what is getting in the way, and whether we are the right people to help. If we are not, we will tell you.

Fair questions

What leadership teams ask us first.

Straight answers to what usually comes up in the first conversation.

Operators first. Coaches second.

Is this team coaching or individual coaching?

Both. We coach the team collectively and the individuals within it, because the two develop together. Most leadership development does one or the other, and the team goes back to working the way it always has.

How is this different from an away day?

An away day gives a team a good day. This is a guided journey on your real work, in your real meetings, so what changes in the room keeps changing after it.

Our team is brand new. Is it too early?

It is the best time. New and newly reshaped teams are our strongest fit, because you can shape how the team works together before habits set.

Do we have to sign up to a fixed programme?

No. We start by understanding your team and your context, shape the journey around what we find, and adapt as the real work becomes clear.

Who actually works with our team?

A coach from the Get Knowledge team: one of our co-founders, Lee or Jason, or one of our experienced associates, chosen to fit your team and its context. Whoever it is works the Get Knowledge way, on your real agenda and in your language.

What if the problem is also in how the work gets done?

It often is. Leadership is one of two doors into the same organisation. When the challenge also sits in how the work runs below the top team, we bring in The Improvement Practice and connect the two.

Start with a conversation.
